Upcoming Sanctioned Tournament: Important Information

Our upcoming sanctioned tournament is a significant event, marking the first of its kind in Nova Scotia outside of provincials and regionals. We've planned this tournament to provide the maximum number of games with minimal waiting times. Delays may happen, but we ask for your patience and understanding. Help us make this a successful event so we can host more in the future and support the legitimization of your tournament ratings!

  • Parking: Please park efficiently, avoid blocking driveways, and do not park on the road to the self-storage. Consider using side roads if the lot is full. The map below shows extra parking spots in BLUE

  • Play and Timings: Enjoy the games and remember, the smoother this event runs, the more we can offer in the future. As mentioned, our goal is to give each team at least 6-8 games, though the format may vary by division to maximize playtime.

  • Vendor Support: During the tournament, partners will be on-site to assist with your clothing and footwear needs. Make sure to visit Good Dink and Soles in Motion for great deals and support!

New Youth Drop-In Program

We are very excited to introduce our new youth drop-in program for ages 8-12! These sessions are a great opportunity for young players to get into the game, improve their skills, and have fun playing pickleball.

  • Bedford: Tuesdays, 6-7 PM

  • Dartmouth: Thursdays, 6-7 PM

Parents can register using their account up to 7 days in advance, one week at a time. Pricing will be the same as for our Skills and Drills sessions, based on the membership you hold. These sessions will be lightly coached, focusing mainly on playing and engaging the kids in the sport.

Stay Fit and Injury-Free with Spring Physiotherapy!

This Week's Tip: Flexibility Exercises for Pickleball Players

Improving your flexibility can enhance your performance and prevent injuries. Here are two exercises recommended by our physiotherapists:

  • Hamstring Stretch: Sit on the ground with one leg extended and the other bent. Reach towards your toes on the extended leg, keeping your back straight. Hold for 20 seconds and switch legs. Watch this variation by our physiotherapist: YouTube Stretch Link

  • Shoulder Stretch: Bring one arm across your chest and use the other arm to gently pull it closer to your body. Hold for 20 seconds and switch arms.

Boost your overall pickleball performance by joining Heather MacAulay at Spring Physiotherapy every Wednesday morning from 9:15 am to 9:45 am for a complimentary Pickleball Fitness Class. Secure your spot by emailing admin@springphysio.ca or calling 902-453-1525 extension 2.
