Cross Court Newsletter Sept 16th

Gender-Specific League Guidelines

At CrossCourt, we value the diverse backgrounds and beliefs of all our members. We understand that some members have specific needs related to their cultural or religious practices, especially regarding gender-specific activities. To support this, we remind everyone that when substituting in our leagues, the substitute must match the gender specification of the league. This adherence ensures that all participants feel comfortable and respected during their games.

Stay Fit and Injury-Free with Spring Physiotherapy

This Week's Tip: Strengthening Your Ankles for Pickleball

Strong ankles are crucial for stability and reducing the risk of sprains. Here are two simple exercises to strengthen your ankles:

  1. Calf Raises: Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, raise your heels off the ground, balance on your toes, hold for a second, and lower back down. Repeat for 15 repetitions.

  2. Toe Raises: Stand against a wall for balance, lift your toes while keeping your heels on the ground, hold for a second, and then lower back down. Repeat for 15 repetitions. Use the wall for support to maintain balance.

Join Heather MacAulay at Spring Physiotherapy every Wednesday morning from 9:15 am to 9:45 am for a complimentary Pickleball Fitness Class focused on preventing common pickleball injuries. Secure your spot by emailing admin@springphysio.ca or calling 902-453-1525 extension 2.
