KEEP PLAYING ALL SUMMER LONG!
Summer is flying by, but there’s still lots of pickleball to be played!
Whether you’re looking to improve your game, meet new playing partners, or simply get more court time, Cross Court has something happening almost every day of the week. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our community by joining leagues, attending drop-ins, taking lessons, and introducing new players to the sport.
WELCOME NEW PLAYERS!
We’ve welcomed another great group of new players through our Intro to Pickleball classes over the past week!
If you know someone who’s been curious about pickleball, now is the perfect time to bring them along. Our beginner classes provide everything needed to get started, and we’ve seen many players quickly transition into drop-ins and leagues after completing their first session.

A Friendly Reminder About Skill Levels
To help keep our leagues and drop-ins enjoyable for everyone, we ask that players only register for sessions that match their current skill level or DUPR rating.
Each program is created with a specific rating range in mind so players can enjoy balanced, competitive, and fun games. Registering for a level outside your current ability can impact the experience for everyone on the court.
If you’re new to pickleball, don’t worry, we have beginner-friendly programs designed to help you build your skills and confidence before moving up.
If you’re unsure which league or drop-in is the best fit for you, please reach out before registering. We’re always happy to help you find the right program.
Thank you for helping us keep Cross Court welcoming, fair, and enjoyable for players of all skill levels!
League Reminder: Please Find a Replacement if You Can’t Attend
If you know you’ll be missing a week of your league, it’s your responsibility to find a replacement player.
Having a sub helps keep matches fair, ensures everyone gets to play, and keeps the league running smoothly for all participants.
If you need a sub, we recommend posting in the Cross Court Facebook group or reaching out to us via email.
Thank you for helping make our leagues a great experience for everyone!
COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT
One of the things we love most is seeing players encourage one another.
Whether it’s helping someone learn score calling, celebrating a great rally, or introducing yourself to someone new at a drop-in, those small moments are what continue to make Cross Court such a welcoming place to play.
Thank you for creating such a positive community.
TIP OF THE WEEK
Move your feet before you swing.
Many mishits happen because players reach with their paddle instead of adjusting their feet. Even one or two small shuffle steps can dramatically improve consistency and shot quality
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that the best pickleball players spend more time controlling the pace of a rally than trying to end it?
Being patient, making one extra shot, and forcing your opponents to hit under pressure often wins more points than trying to hit outright winners.
