Cross Court Pickleball Newsletter – March 2, 2026

Hello March!

March marks a reset point in the season.

Players have found their footing, leagues are settling into rhythm, and the difference between casual play and intentional improvement is becoming clearer on the courts.

This is the time of year where progress stops being accidental.

At Cross Court, we see the biggest jumps when players focus on:

• Showing up consistently

• Being open to feedback

• Playing within a strong community

It’s not about perfection. It’s about reps, awareness, and learning how to compete without losing perspective.

Thank you for being part of a community that values both growth and sportsmanship.

Dartmouth DUPR Weekend Recap

This past Saturday in Dartmouth, we hosted both a Women’s Team DUPR event and a Round Robin DUPR session, and the level of play was outstanding.

These formats create space for meaningful games, varied matchups, and accurate rating outcomes while still keeping the environment supportive and competitive. Players challenged themselves, adapted to different partners and opponents, and showed exactly what intentional match play looks like.

Thank you to everyone who participated, competed with integrity, and supported fellow players throughout the weekend. Events like these are a big part of helping players better understand where their game truly sits and where it can go next.

We’re excited to keep the momentum going.

This Saturday, we are hosting the Women’s 2.4–2.99 DUPR Team Round Robin again and there is just ONE team spot left.

If you’ve been looking for a chance to get solid rated games in and test your progress in a team format, now’s the time.

Is Your DUPR Where It Should Be?

Not sure your DUPR rating reflects how you’re playing right now? The DUPR Reset gives you a risk-free chance to update your rating.

During the Reset Period, your new rating will be based entirely on matches played within that window — and it can only stay the same or go up.

Simply register before or during the Reset Period (March 16 – May 17) and complete at least 8 DUPR-rated matches against a minimum of 2 different partners or opponents.

Open to players worldwide. Check out the official rules and details to get started.

League Standards & Sub Expectations

As leagues continue into March, a quick reminder:

• Subs must match the level of the league

• If the league is DUPR-rated, your sub needs to be aware before playing

• League spots are not interchangeable across levels

These standards help protect competitive balance and ensure ratings remain meaningful. Thank you for helping us keep leagues organized and fair.

Facility Reminder – Scent Free

Both Cross Court locations remain scent free. Please avoid perfumes, colognes, and heavily scented products. For some members, this is not a preference but an accessibility need.

A Final Note

Improvement is exciting. Competition is motivating. Ratings can be helpful.

But what truly defines Cross Court is how players treat each other when games are tight, when mistakes happen, and when someone is brand new.

Compete hard.

Encourage often.

Respect always.

Choose kindness. Every time.
