Exciting Changes Coming in 2025

We have some exciting updates for the upcoming year:

  • Premium Players Club: Launching in 2025, this exclusive two-tiered club will offer special products and services, and packages for players who play at least once per month under their account for at least three consecutive months. Keep your account active! More details to follow!

  • Price Adjustments: While membership rates remain unchanged, most services will see an average $1 increase due to inflation and rising rent costs.

  • Non-Member Fee: A $2 fee will be introduced for non-members using the facility under someone else’s booking without a membership of their own.

Looking for a Recurring booking

Our evening slots are all booked up at both spots, but if your group wants an afternoon slot, we've got some open in Dartmouth! These are super handy as things start to pick up in the new year. Shoot us an email at info@crosscourtpickleball.ca

Etiquette and Culture at CrossCourt

At CrossCourt, we pride ourselves on creating a positive and respectful community. Here’s a reminder of our key etiquette and culture guidelines:

  • Kindness above all else: When in doubt, choose the kindest option.

  • The Three-Minute Rule: Wrap up your games three minutes before the end of your session to allow a smoother transition.

  • Use the tablet for court assignments: If unsure about your court, the MindBody app on the tablet will guide you.

  • Leave the courts as you found them: Clean up after yourself and respect the facility.

Balls in Dartmouth Facility

The balls in the bins at our Dartmouth facility are reserved for CrossCourt-scheduled drop-in play and leagues only. For court bookings, players must bring their own balls.

Welcome to Our New Partner: Good Dink

We’re thrilled to announce our newest partner, Good Dink! A display is set up at our Dartmouth facility where you can try on their clothing. Instructions for ordering are available with the display.

Drop-Ins Transitioning to MindBody

Based on your feedback and usage patterns, all drop-ins currently booked via SWISH will transition to the MindBody app/website starting the first week of January. This change ensures better enforcement of our 24-hour cancellation policy and reduces no-shows.

Stay Fit and Injury-Free with Spring Physiotherapy!

This Week's Tip: Strengthening Your Hips for Pickleball Players

Strong hips improve your lateral movement and stability at the kitchen line. Here are two simple exercises:

  1. Clamshells: Lie on your side with your knees bent and feet together. Keep your feet touching as you lift your top knee away from the bottom one, creating a "clam" motion. Lower it back down slowly. Do 15 repetitions on each side.

  2. Hip Bridges: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Lift your hips toward the ceiling, squeezing your glutes. Hold for 3 seconds, then lower back down. Repeat 15 times.

Knee pain keeping you off the court? Do you feel stiffness in your hips or knees after playing pickleball? Spring Physiotherapy is now offering the GLA:D program—an evidence-based exercise program specially designed for those with hip and/or knee osteoarthritis. Have questions? Contact us at admin@springphysio.ca to learn more!

See you on the courts!
