CC Newsletter: Betty’s Berries is Back!

Betty’s Berries is Back!

This is a special holiday event just for some pickleball fun!

  • Event Duration: Approximately 3-4 hours

  • Location: Dartmouth

  • Time 12pm-4pm Dec 7th

  • Skill Levels: All skill levels welcome

  • Format: Games will be completely randomized, regardless of skill level and gender.

How it Works:

  • At the end of each game, the winners will receive a "berry."

  • The player with the most berries at the end of the event will be declared the winner and receive a prize!

  • In general, all players will play a game, then sit a game.

Bonus Fun:At the end of the allotted play time, there will also be exciting skills competitions for participants.

For more information and updates, check out our Dartmouth Leagues page.

(Will David be crowned Betty's Berry again?...only time will tell)

New Youth Drop-In Program

We are very excited to introduce our new youth drop-in program for ages 8-12! These sessions are a great opportunity for young players to get into the game, improve their skills, and have fun playing pickleball.

  • Bedford: Tuesdays, 6-7 PM

  • Dartmouth: Thursdays, 6-7 PM

Parents can register using their account up to 7 days in advance, one week at a time. Pricing will be the same as for our Skills and Drills sessions, based on the membership you hold. These sessions will be lightly coached, focusing mainly on playing and engaging the kids in the sport.

Stay Fit and Injury-Free with Spring Physiotherapy!

This Week's Tip: Strengthening Your Knees for Pickleball Players

Strong knees can improve your stability and reduce the risk of injuries on the court. Here are some simple exercises you can try:

  • Wall Sits: Stand with your back against a wall and slide down until your thighs are parallel to the floor, as if sitting on an invisible chair. Hold for 20 seconds and repeat 3 times.

  • Step-Downs: Stand on a step or platform with one foot. Slowly lower the opposite foot to the ground, keeping your balance. Return to the starting position. Do 10 repetitions per leg.

You can book an appointment with Spring Physiotherapy by calling 902-453-1525 ext. 2.
