Cross Court Pickleball Newsletter – April 13, 2026

Welcome back to another week at Cross Court!

We’re right in that sweet spot of the season where energy is high, play is improving, and the courts are full every day. It’s been great seeing so many of you showing up consistently, putting in the work, and pushing each other to get better.

The level of play across all programs keeps climbing. Longer rallies, smarter shot selection, and more confidence across the board. That mix of competition and support is exactly what makes this community what it is.

As always, we’ve got a full week ahead. Here’s everything you need to know.

DUPR EVENT RECAP

This past weekend’s DUPR event was a great one.

We had a strong mix of players, lots of competitive matchups, and exactly the kind of energy we love to see on the courts. There were some really close games, long rallies, and a noticeable jump in level across the board.

What stood out most was the balance between competition and sportsmanship. Players were battling it out but still supporting each other, keeping things positive, and making it a great environment for everyone involved.

Events like these are one of the best ways to build your rating while getting meaningful reps in. If you haven’t jumped into one yet, we highly recommend giving it a try.

League Play Update

Leagues are rolling and the improvement week to week has been noticeable.

Players are settling in, building chemistry, and starting to think more strategically instead of just reacting. It’s one of the best environments to improve because of the consistency and level-based matchups.

If you’ve been on the fence, leagues are one of the fastest ways to level up your game.

Sub Guidelines (Important Reminder)

To keep leagues fair and balanced:

• Subs must be within the league’s level or DUPR range

• Include the level when posting for a sub

• DUPR league subs must know games are rated

• League spots cannot be transferred between levels

• Subs must be Cross Court members

Thanks for helping keep competition fair for everyone.

Booking Tip

Spots open 7 days in advance and popular sessions fill quickly.

If you’re trying to get into a drop-in or program, logging in right when booking opens gives you the best chance of securing a spot.

The same goes for court rentals. Prime times, especially evenings and weekends, tend to go quickly, so planning ahead and booking early is always recommended.

If you don’t get in right away, keep checking back. Plans change and spots do open up.

Also, after booking, take a quick second to check your schedule in the app to make sure everything went through properly. Occasionally bookings can glitch, and this helps avoid any surprises later.

Private Coaching

If you’re looking to improve faster and with purpose, private coaching is the best way to do it.

Work one-on-one or in a small group with Andre, Gaston, or Michael and get personalized feedback, targeted drills, and real-game scenarios.

$60/hr – 1 player

$40/hr per person – 2 players

Membership Reminder

Just a quick reminder for anyone booking programming:

An active Cross Court membership is required to participate in leagues, drop-ins, and Skills and Drills.

If you’re not seeing booking options or something looks off, double check you’re logged into the correct account. If it still doesn’t look right, reach out and we’ll help sort it.

On Court Culture

Competitive games are great, but how we treat each other matters more.

Encouragement, respect, and good sportsmanship are what make people want to come back.

The best part of Cross Court isn’t just the games. It’s the people you see every week, the encouragement after tough rallies, and the small moments in between matches.

Let’s keep building that.

Choose kindness. Every time.
