Meet Our Coaches
Last week, we introduced you to Coach Michael, this week, we want to put the spotlight on our Coach Gaston Renault.
Gaston fell in love with Pickleball in 2011. He easily got hooked into tournament play and has participated locally, provincially, nationally as well as some tournaments in the US. He brought back gold at Nationals in men’s doubles in 2017.
Coaching junior badminton for years, he naturally transitioned those skills, backed with IPTPA Certification, into coaching pickleball players looking to improve their game. He brings many years of experience and can help you simplify the game with proper shot selection, positioning, and shot placement. He loves fine tuning your swing to increase power, if needed, but prefers to teach you depth control to increase your unattackable ball percentages.
Train with Coach Gaston
Players can book private coaching sessions with Michael for personalized instruction tailored to their goals and skill level.
Private Coaching Rates:
• $60/hour – 1 player
• $40/hour per person – 2 players
• $30/hour per person – 3–4 players
Sessions typically begin with a quick assessment, followed by focused work on the areas you want to improve, whether that’s shot selection, consistency, footwork, or strategy.
If you’ve trained with Gaston before, you already know what sets him apart. His energy is contagious, his attention to detail is unmatched, and he has a way of keeping sessions both highly productive and genuinely enjoyable. Gaston pushes players to improve while making sure everyone feels supported, challenged, and confident on the court. You’ll leave each session having worked hard, learned something new, and excited to get back out and play again.
