CrossCourt Pickleball Newsletter- Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We are very thankful for all of you. We are grateful that (you) our community supports us and the culture we are trying to create, and we look forward to what this next year will bring!


Dartmouth Drop-Ins Update

We are trying something new in Dartmouth! Sign up for drop-ins using the Swish app. CrossCourt led sessions will be billed the day before. If the drop-in is led by a specific member, you will be able to pay on site.

Download the Swish App: Get it on your phone to join games and manage your bookings more efficiently.


Men’s 3.0+ (CrossCourt led - will be billed the day before)

  • Day: Tuesdays

  • Time: 2:00 - 4:00 PM

Any Gen 2.5-3.25 (CrossCourt led - will be billed the day before)

Youth Drop-Ins Starting in November

Starting the first week of November, we will be hosting youth drop-in sessions in Bedford on Tuesdays at 6 PM and in Dartmouth on Thursdays at 6 PM. Each session will last for one hour.

  • Ages: 8 to 12 years old

  • Parents: Are encouraged to stay and watch

  • Registration: Parents can use their own memberships to register their children for the drop-ins

  • Coaching: Each session will be coached

  • Pricing: Same as a skills and drills session


League Openings

Bedford:

  • Monday 4 PM Women’s Novice - Full

  • Wednesday 7 AM Women’s 3.0+ Ladder

  • Thursday 4 PM Women’s 3.0+

  • Friday 3 PM Women’s Novice

  • Friday 6 PM Mixed Teams - Remember, you stay with your teammate; only one team needs to sign up.

  • Saturday 4 PM Mixed Novice


Dartmouth:

  • No new leagues opening this week.


We know that the Womens Novice in Bedford on Mondays fills up very quickly so we would like to see if we can relieve the pressure with a Tuesday afternoon slot. Interested in another Women's Novice League on Tuesday afternoons Bedford? Fill out this form to express your interest.

Stay Fit and Injury-Free with Spring Physiotherapy!

This Week's Tip: Core Exercises for Pickleball Players

A strong core can enhance your stability on the court. Here are two simple exercises:

  1. Plank: Start in a push-up position, with your forearms on the ground and your body in a straight line from head to heels. Hold this position for 20-30 seconds, keeping your core engaged. Rest and repeat 3 times.

  2. Bridge: Lie on your back with your knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Lift your hips towards the ceiling, squeezing your glutes, and hold for 10 seconds. Lower back down. Do 15 repetitions.
